Tomato & Grape Marketing
SFPCL began by organizing collective marketing of tomatoes and grapes produced by its member farmers. In 2014-15, 450 tons of tomatoes were sold to processors like Capricon Food Products and Varun Agro, earning farmers ₹10–15 more per crate compared to market prices.
This initiative marked the beginning of SFPCL's journey in collective marketing. By organizing member farmers and connecting them directly with processors, SFPCL was able to negotiate better prices and reduce the exploitation of middlemen. The success of this project demonstrated the power of collective action and established SFPCL as a trusted partner for both farmers and processors.
