Grape & Tomato Pack Houses at Chandikapur
Under the National Horticulture Mission, SFPCL established two pack houses and a Farmer Facility Center in the Vani cluster. Grading and sorting of grapes and tomatoes were conducted here, leading to higher value realization.
The establishment of pack houses enabled SFPCL to add value to the produce by implementing proper grading and sorting standards. This infrastructure investment allowed farmers to realize better prices for premium quality produce and opened up opportunities for export markets. The Farmer Facility Center also provided training and support services to member farmers.
